-To marry off the rice-

Lately I've been feeling this way.

 I wish people wouldn't treat rice so carelessly.
 If you're only after cheap prices for my precious rice, I shan't give it away.

 Of course, initially I thought we had to boost sales quickly to get the business on track and avoid going under.

 So I considered offering it as cheaply as possible to earn money, but that was completely wrong. That is not what we want to do.

 What we want to do is deliver our carefully nurtured rice to those who seek quality, who value the pleasure of delicious food, and who wish to find happiness through the power of rice.

 Each grain has its own character – some are adorable, others are a bit odd-looking yet endearing.

 We wish to deliver these children to those who cherish us. We do not wish to marry them off to those who haggle for a cheap price.

 So please understand. We will continue to proclaim this loudly. Those who respect the deliciousness of rice, gather here.
