How to cook White Rice

What you need

Japanese White Rice

Step by Step

  1. Wash the Rice then Rinse quickly & drain immediately. (Use a colander to wash the rice or gently rub the rice by hand)
  2. Let the rice soak in water for 30 minutes.
  3. Cook the rice using Rice using an Electric Rice Cooker or HARIO Rice Pot over 600W.
  4. Cook over Low heat. Once the pot whistles, continue cooking for another 2-3 minutes.
  5. Let the rice steam off the heat for 15 minutes.

How to cook Brown Rice

Japanese Brown Rice

Step by Step

  1. Wash the Rice then Rinse quickly & drain immediately. (Use a colander to wash the rice or gently rub the rice by hand)
  2. Soak the rice 8 hours before cooking.
  3. Cook the rice using Rice using an Electric Rice Cooker or HARIO Rice Pot.
  4. Cook over Low heat. Once the pot whistles, continue cooking for another 2-3 minutes.
  5. Let the rice rest for 15 minutes then fluff gently.
