This stew sauce has a rich, sweet and mild flavour, made without lard, beef tallow or animal-based stock extracts, and finished with a generous blend of milk powder made from Hokkaido milk.
We use domestically produced wheat flour, carefully home-roasted, and organically grown safflower oil.
As it comes in flakes that dissolve easily and are simple to use, you can prepare meals in no time.
◇How to cook◇
[Serves 8]
1. Heat the vegetable oil in a saucepan and stir-fry the ingredients, cut into bite-sized pieces, until just softened, taking care not to burn them.
2. Add 1080ml (just over 5 cups) of water. Once it comes to the boil, skim off any scum, then simmer over a medium heat for about 15–20 minutes until the ingredients are tender. *For an even tastier result, add about 400ml of milk or soya milk to taste (if adding milk or soya milk, reduce the amount of water by the same amount).
3. Turn off the heat, add this product and stir well until fully dissolved.
4. Return to a very low heat and simmer briefly until ready to serve.

※The factory where this product is manufactured also produces items containing prawns and crab. Once opened, remove as much air as possible, seal the zip-lock bag securely, store in the fridge and consume as soon as possible. Vegetable oil may rise to the surface, or the roux may harden or soften as it melts; neither of these affects the quality of the product.
